I love this recipe because it's not too "bready" as some breakfast casseroles are. A co-worker made this for a function and I fell in love with it and asked her for her recipe. I've used this for a base recipe and added some sauted veggies and changed cheeses on occasion but I've always kept the same basic ingredients.
- Cook sausage and drain.
- Beat eggs and add the rest of the ingredients and sausage.
- Prepare the night before.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
Great casserole and like your description states, "not too bready"! I like that there was just a little bread, most casseroles that have bread overdue it and it gets a little dry when cooking. Made as written and it made for a great "breakfast for dinner" meal. Will make this again! Made for My 3 Chefs.
