This was such fun to make. I've been wanting to learn how for some time and your directions were clear and easy to follow. My biggest problem (and it's mine) is learning the right way to roll them so they look as pretty as the other pictures I see here, still haven't mastered that. Served this with Siam Dipping Sauce and Tom Ka Kai (Thai Coconut Chicken Soup) and DH and I truly enjoyed it. Thanks so much for posting.
On Fridays at our house we have 'new food friday'. With 6 children I have yet to find anything they ALL like...until we made these. Fabulous! Loved them.
There are various lumpia ingredients, however, the wrapper is why it is called lumpia. Lumpia wrappers are completely different than eggroll wrappers. These are not authentic lumpia.
A nice simple filling. I fried some up and dipped them in extra soy sauce and Chili paste mixed together. I froze the rest before frying. I plan to try to bake those for health reasons. These turned out great and the ingredient list was much easier to handle than eggrolls. Made for PAC 2012.
These were really good and made for a light dinner. I seasoned the meat with garlic powder and about 1 Tbs soy sauce; next time I will add more, it was a little bland. Served these with Sweet and Sour Sauce #224053. Made for ZWT-7~THE HOT PINK LADIES.
Yummy! My husband gobbled them up! My kids enjoyed them too. Very good, just needs that "special something" to get the other star! Thank you Lavender Lynn! We'll be making these again!
This was a very nice Friday night treat for my family. I added Trader Joe's Sesame Soy Ginger Vinaigrette to the mixture and it was very tasty. I am looking forward to putting carrots and zucchini in it next time. Thanks for the great base recipe!
This recipe is delicious. The disappointment came when I saw that it makes 10 servings so I doubled the recipe because the package of egg roll wraps had 20. Well, 53 servings later I was done making this recipe. I only hope that servings size is more accurate.
These were so easy to assemble and eat. I have honestly passed this recipe on to 5 people and they all love it!!
