Lower Fat Chocolate Chip Cookies

"My husband was half way through making cookies from my regular recipe when he realized we didn't have enough butter. I suggested substituting applesauce for the difference and we found we loved the texture of these cakey chocolate chip cookies."

  • Cream butter and sugars. Add applesauce and eggs until blended. Mix final ingredients. Mix in chips. Using cookie scoop, drop onto silpat lined cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for two minutes before tranfering to cooling rack.
