Here is an excellent optional recipe: Use Ground turkey instead of ground beef to lower fat content. Mix cream of mushroom, browned turkey, 1/2 bag of frozen mixed veggies, 3 tablespoons of sourcream, 2 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce, Janes Crazy salt (or salt), pepper all into a large a sauce pan. Cook for ~ 5 minutes until all is very hot. Stir often. Pour into caserole dish. Layer on top of mix with low fat/non fat Colby jack (or mozarella for stretchy kid fun). Layer frozen tater tots on top of cheese. Bake at 375 for 1 hour (or until Tater tots are golden brown). My kids love it! You can also add BBQ sauce if your kids like that.

  • 1 lb 95% lean ground beef
  • 32 ounces tater tots
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can Healthy Request cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tablespoon dried onion
  • 14 cup skim milk


  1. Brown ground beef and drain.
  2. line crock pot with tater tots.
  3. Combine all other ingredients and pour mixture over the tater tots.
  4. Cover. Cook on High 3 hours.
