"I love lattes! I hate the calorie counts. This makes a mug of creamy, satisfying coffee richness. You won't have the foam, but it tastes wonderful."

  1. I used the full amount of skim milk and 1 tsp of espresso powder with a bit of Splenda. If your diabetic or just wanting to curb calories this is your recipe! Of so easy, quick and yummy! There is no downside here at all.

  2. What a money saver - and calorie saver! We use light soy milk and have a delicious coffee drink in minutes for pennies. Thank you!

  3. This will fool you to death! It tastes so good, and is so easy. I used about 1/3 cup skim milk, but did everything else the same. A great pick me up-I can't get to my favorite coffee shop because of the snow-thankfully I had this recipe to try out & satisfy me!! Thanks so much for sharing. UPDATE: I have also sprinkled cinnamon on top & it was even better!

My husband, Walt and I live in Huntley, Illinois; about 1 hour west/northwest of Chicago O'Hare airport. I'm a stay at home wife with 3 adult children. I collect old cookbooks, enjoy reading, gardening, canning, candy making and jewelry making. I'm passionate about my savior, singing on the worship team and volunteering for a non-profit that provides free legal services to poor families. My favorite cookbooks are Taste of Home Contest Winning and those authored by Rachael Ray. A pet peeve is when a cook doesn't give an alternative for a difficult to find ingredient.
