Well, I wouldn't call it a "nutritious snack", but it was awfully good! I'm on a dairy-free diet at the moment, and I've been itching for something sweet that doesn't have butter in it. This hit the spot. I used two eggs and 1/4 cup applesauce with 1/4 cup vegetable oil. I baked it in an 8x8 pan that had been sprayed with Pam for about 26 minutes. They were fudgy and wonderful. Made my day.

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9 by 9-inch pan.
  3. Place egg whites in large bowl.
  4. Beat with spoon until frothy.
  5. Add oil and vanilla.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Stir in sugar and cocoa.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Stir in flour and salt until blended.
  10. (Batter will be thick.).
  11. Spread in pan.
  12. Bake at 350 degrees for 22 to 26 minutes.
  13. (Don't over bake!).
  14. Cool.
