If you are trying to lower the carbs, don't use the oats. Replace them with Parmesan cheese or other white cheese. A canned pizza sauce, I use chef boyarde, drizzled over the top gives it a good flavor.
Super yummy for those cutting carbs, or anybody for that matter. I'm so surprised that I'm the first to review/rated this recipe. I was dying for stuffed cabbage that didn't include rice, as I'm following the South Beach diet. This recipe is perfect!! The only tweak I added was to throw in about 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning with the sauce mixture. Used 90 percent lean ground beef, and will try with ground turkey also. Thank you for giving me a great solution for an old family favorite!!
