made this without saffron(too expensive)but was very good without,a great change from just meat/cheese dishes,thanks for posting it we will definately have this again soon
This is a great recipe. Very tasty.
My husband and I liked this a lot! I am not fond of rice in stuffed green peppers so this was a great find. I did add one third of a can of tomato soup to the meat mixture and poured the remaining two thirds of the soup over the stuffed green peppers. The measurements of the seasonings was perfect. Oh, I did use ground turkey.
This was a good recipe. I made 4 stuffed peppers and used ground Seitan Log instead of meat. I was unable to find a 4-5 oz. container of plain nonfat yogurt, so I used a lowfat french vanilla and it worked out fine. I also left out the cheese. Tasted great, thank you!
I Love Greek food these are wonderful! I used ground lamb blanched the peppers 15 minutes added fenugreek, a half teasooon . Instead of fresh I used a half cup dried tomatos in olive oil instead of salt used greek season salt you gotta try these Yum
This was a great meal! Healthy too. I added 8oz. cooked lentils and about 1 1/2c of tomato sauce. To keep the flavor I doubled the spice amounts and added about 8-10oz yogurt. Yummy! Thanks for posting evelync1985.
These peppers made a fantastic meal for my low carb diet plan! I love stuffed peppers and this was a nice and different way to prepare them. I microwaved my peppers, used 93% lean ground turkey and omitted the saffron because I didn't have it on hand; but followed the rest of the recipe as stated. The seasonings blended very well with the turkey. Next time, I may add just a tiny bit of tomato sauce to the meat mixture, or, maybe not, because these peppers tasted great as is. I served this with a side of Tish's #61953 Tomato-Cucumber-Feta Salad. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
