Directions

  1. Press sausage into 8 muffin tins, pressing up sides and pressing into bottom edges.
  2. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  3. Break an egg into sausage cups and return to oven for 15 minutes.
  4. Place 1/2 slice American cheese over each cup and return to oven for 1 more minute.

Loved it! Great idea! I've made this a few times now and tried it once with sage sausage! Yum!

These tasted good - but very messy to make. The grease overflowed, as stated by another reviewer, and the sausage shrank inwards, leaving no room for the egg. Maybe I did something wrong, but I won't be making these again - I have to go scrub my muffin tin now.

Be very careful - the grease from the sausage overflowed and nearly set off the smoke alarm. I turned the temp down to 350, increased the cooking time and "mopped" the grease out of each cup with a papertowel. Other than that, the end result is great and there were very easy to make.
