THIS IS AWESOME!!!!! Especially if you are low-carbing. My entire family loves this and requests it every week. even our youngest children (8 and 9) love this recipe. For added spice add some hot sauce or crushed red pepper. My teens love to put ketchup, mustard and pickles on top, sounds odd but it tastes just like a fast food burger, with out all the carbs! Thank you!!!
This is very good. I had just run out of mayo and so I subbed an equal amount of sour cream. I don't know if the mayo would've made the end result creamier or more flavorful, but I really liked the sour cream in this. I also didn't read the directions thoroughly by the time I got to the end, because I sprinkled the cheese over the egg mixture instead of pouring the egg mix over all - oh, well, the cheese browned beautifully and tasted good anyway. No harm done, and I will definitely be making this again! I used a 9" deep dish glass pie plate and baked it for 40 minutes. Thanks for posting such a good recipe!
This was excellent! Being on a low carb diet, this was so flavorful and delicious, I almost forgot how much I miss starchy sides. I used two pounds of ground beef and I cooked it in a casserole dish, but other than that, it is perfect just the way it is written! Thank you for sharing.
I used sour cream instead of mayo and 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream-1/4 cup water mixed instead of half and half. SOOO Good! Def needed to make a double batch because everyone still wanted more!
I tripled the meat, added some of my homemade, low-carb, Italian spices. I also only doubled the cheese and the egg mixture. Then instead of the high-carb mayo, I made my own with healthy oils and fats. This recipe turned out very close to a shepherd's pie and it was awesome! We can't have the potatoes in shepherd's pie, so this was a ridiculously EASY and great alternative! And now, because I made so much, we can just heat and eat for a few days.
I have tried this recipe and it's really good. This is great also if your low carbing. Really works for me.great recipe.
I made this tonight and it was amazing!! I added a few things though, because I like spicy. A few dashes of crushed red pepper, a few dashes of Frank's hot sauce, used 4 eggs vs 3 & Mexican cheese vs sharp. Sooooooo good!!!
This was a good, easy recipe. I thought it needed some umph so I added jalapeno slices to half of it and that was good. So after we made it, my husband still thought it needed something else, so he added a bit of mayo and ketchup. Man did that make it taste good! Then when I reheated it tonight, I added hot sauce and a bit of mayo....YUM!
This was good. It was not like any quiche that I have had before. The crust seems heavy, making it more like a casserole than a true quiche. It was quite edible though, and in the future I have plans for doing it differently. Thanks for the great low-carb dinner!
Trying to find new things to do with hamburger that are low carb, in this economy its our go to meat. This recipe is awesome...my DH loved it..will make again and again. Made just as directed except I used heavy cream instead of 1/2 &1/2...thanks for sharing
