Low-Carb Bacon and Egg Quiche

"I'm trying to go low-carb, and I found this recipe on Recipegal.com. It's so easy to make and tastes great! We use cheddar as nobody likes swiss cheese but me. It originally calls for a quiche pan, but I just used a 9-inch pie pan with great results! I also sprayed it with non-stick canola cooking spray, instead of the butter as the recipe originally called for."

  4. It was wonderful. I added cooked, chopped broccoli, a whole package of college bacon, one small chopped onion sauteed in bacon grease and a ton of cheddar cheese. It was marvelous!

  5. This was absolutely delicious! Made it with half & half instead of heavy cream, and used real bacon bits instead of fresh bacon. Turned out great, with about half the calories and fat. Wonderful Low carb dish!

Tweaks

  1. When you make a quiche w/o a crust, it's called a "frittata".

  2. Awesome!

  3. Instead of bacon, I used a leftover bison burger patty, and added some frozen, chopped spinach. It was as big a hit as the original! (As a good friend recommended), I often substitute leftover meats into this quiche, and it's still delicious!
