this is a family favorite, its great on chicken, shrimp and veggies. I'm on a low carb diet and was thrilled when I realized how low in carbs this sauce is.
- 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese
- 3⁄4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1⁄2 cup butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1⁄2 cup skim milk
- combine all ingredients in med. sauce pan, stir over low heat until smooth, best used when warm.
Amazing! Definitely worth trying if you are watching carbs like we are! Added a little light cream cheese spread to the sauce, which helped it thicken a bit. Definitely a keeper!
This was yummy! I made some changes based on what I didn't have, and what I thought should be in it.
2 Tsp of Garlic minced for flavor.
1-2 Dashes of Nutmeg.
Calorie Saver Idea: I used the reduced fat cream cheese and only put 3 Tbsp of butter in it.
