mmmmmm...I'm sitting here enjoying my first cup Mirj, and wish you were here to have one with me. I used an excellent quality instant espresso blend for the coffee as we don't have the hazelnut instant. BUT, I do have some hazelnut coffee drops that I brough back from a trip a while back and they were finally put to use. This coffee (using an espresso blend) is aromatic, nutty, creamy, simply wonderful. My first cup will always be held up to toast you Mirj!
Very good coffee drink. Of course, real cream can make anything take better. Even instant coffee. ;)
Hey Mirj, I have made this coffee 6 times, until I found a way it suited my taste buds. I ended up using 1-1/2 tsp. of either Taster's Choice House Blend Coffee, or Maxwell House's instant coffee. I did not care for Tatser's Choice 100º Columbian tho, as it was just TOO STRONG, plus I added 2 ounces (4 tablespoons) of heavy whipping cream, and 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of hazelnut coffee creamer. I did not add any sugar, as the 1 ounce of hazelnut creamer made the coffee taste sweet enough. A couple things I wanted to also mention here... I used those individual single serve packets of instant coffee, which you can purchase either 7 or 20 in a box, and each packet equals 1-1/2 teaspoons, also the recipe states this makes 1 serving, each serving equals 14 ounces of coffee.
