This is great! It makes a large amount and is tasty enough to bring to a pot luck! Excellent with any Middle Eastern/Mediterranean meal.
Perfect healthy recipe , but I didn't add parsley or dill as I felt it will be too many flavors , also I ignored the tomato paste , I only used fresh tomato .It turned yummy with white rice and steak .
I made this dish for my daughters book club group and my only change that I would make to this recipe is I would not add as much dill to it. Other than that this dish is GREAT
I adapted this recipe to use in the crockpot. I cooked the peas on high until almost done, drained, and then added the rest of the ingredients and let it cook on low several hours. I used dried herbs (1/3 of the listed amounts) as well. This was very tasty & a recipe I would use again. I served with Onion and Chive Pitas and cantaloupe slices. I froze the rest of the stew and am hoping it tastes as good reheated. Thank you for sharing your recipe Katia! Reviewed for ZWT 3.
Absolutely wonderful. So comforting, and tasty with the fresh tomato, dill, parsley, and garlic from the garden. I added zucchini, (have a ton) so threw that in along with the black-eyed peas mixture. Terrific! Other then that, followed this to a tee. Easy too. Thanks, katia!
