My Fave! This is a wonderful no frills tomato sauce. Very basic. Based on the "less is more " theory...
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1⁄4 cup garlic (minced)
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- fresh cracked pepper
- crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)
- Heat oil in a saucepan.
- Add garlic. Saute until just pale gold, about 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce. Simmer 10 minutes.
- Use on ANYTHING!
