Great dish! Not to spicy for the younger set, but enough seasoning to appeal to everyone. Easy and quick to make, and a well stocked kitchen will usually have all the ingredients on hand. A great highschool football game night dish. My husband topped his with some grated cheddar cheese. Yumm! (If this posts twice, please excuse me. The posting gremlins are working overtime tonight. :)
I try to be very fair and honest in my reviews and I'm being quite frank when I tell you I didn't like this recipe at all. It had a strange sugary taste, and it ended up in the garbage, I followed the recipe exactly. I've searched the net for loosemeat sandwiches and maid-rites as they are also known, and I have seen this recipe many times and in my opinion I don't think this one's even close to the real recipe.I don't think the sugar and tomato juice belong in this recipe. Check out Claire de Luna #58430 it is nearer to the real thing. My intent is not to be mean and sarcastic but I just thought this recipe didn't cut it. I am looking forward to trying one or more of your other dishes which I know will be probably be most delicious!
Delicious and so easy! I made this yesterday and dh and I loved it. I didn't have any kitchen bouquet so I used liquid smoke instead. Also, I used 1/4 tsp. of cayenne and it was just spicey enough. I will be making this often for quick meals. Thanks for sharing!
YUMMY! Easy! My son loved it and asked for more.
My family enjoyed this recipe even thought they enjoyed my sloppy joe recipe better. This is a nice change. Quick, easy and ingredients I have on hand. Served it with lite hamburgher buns, baked mac and cheese and side of fresh carrots and celery. This was a great weekend meal when I am busy running kids around. Thanks Mark!!
My hubby and son liked these. I thought they were ok. I think I prefer a sloppy joe recipe. Thanks for posting.
