L'kebab (Algerian Fried Potato in Sauce)

"This is not the kebab you would think of. My husband makes this based on the recipe in "Great Book of Coucous". You could make your own french fries for a real treat but this tastes pretty good anyway."

  1. Very tasty but doesn't look very good. I wonder if this recipe has some steps missing, maybe lost in translation upon seeing http://www.celtnet.org.uk/recipes/miscellaneous/fetch-recipe.php?rid=misc-kabab-bil-batata. I stirred the liquid in the pan after cooking for the 40 minutes with beaten egg. I used canola oil, 4 chicken leg with thighs - bone in, canned chickpeas, freshly ground black pepper to taste, sea salt to taste, plus the rest of the ingredients. I didn't forget the lemon wedges but the instructions don't mention to serve with them. I may even make this again the taste was so good. Made for Welcome to Algeria!
