    Directions:

      In Large pan cook bacon, remove and set aside.Add oil to pan. Roll liver in flour. Place onions in pan of bacon grease. Put liver on top of onions. Cover and cook until done about 30 minutes. Serve bacon on the side.

      Been doing this good old stand-by recipe for years...kids didn't even know they were eating liver back then!

      Ah, I see you've updated the recipe with additional instructions! :-) I printed the original recipe out before all the flour instructions, etc. were there. This is a good recipe. I first sauteed the onions then added the liver to the side of the pan, since I wanted it crispy. I did not cover it since I did not want it to steam and loose crispness. It took about 3 minutes each side. Thank you for making my first attempt at frying liver a success!
