Another recipe clipped from a nameless magazine years ago. It says you can make the base mixture ahead of time and keep chilled in the fridge, then add the ginger ale later. I think it would work using Sprite or 7-up as well, but would give a different flavour. Will be making this for my next outdoor get-together.

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water and cook until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Add lemon juice and stir to blend. Store base mixture in tightly covered nonmetal container or jar in fridge until ready to use.
  2. For each serving, combine 1/2 cup chilled base mixture and 1/2 cup ginger ale in a tall glass. Add ice if desired. Seve immediately.

Great summer recipe. I only had 2 lemons so made up the rest with bottled lemon juice and it was fine. Used diet 7up and kept it in the fridge and sipped on it for a couple of days. Will make again as this is great to have on hand! Thanks Ppaperdoll
