This one I had found online. I altered it to suit our tastes. My mother suggested using breakfast sausage instead of smokies and serving it with eggs and having a breakfast meal out of it. I haven't tired it yet. Recipe Source: Hillshire Farms http://www.hillshirefarm.com/mealideas/recipes.aspx?id=125

This was really good; we served it for dinner. The hashbrowns made a great crispy crust and the cheese was ooey gooey. The only thing I would change is to add another egg or two. Will be making this again! Made for All You Can Cook Buffet.

I've been a little burned out with the usual "BBQ Smokies" and "Pigs in a Blanket" party food. So, imagine my despair when, in a pinch for dinner, I found a bag of Lit'l Smokies in the bottom bin of my freezer. Desperate, I searched 'Zaar and found your recipe and was pleased to discover that I had all the ingredients on hand. I used a 3 qt.casserole dish in place of the pie pan (extended cooking time) and used a tad bit more hash browns, butter and cheese to make up the difference. DH and kids (ages 2 & 12) loved it and even asked for seconds. I served this with Pan-Roasted Broccoli. http://www.recipezaar.com/155018 Thanks for the recipe!
