Aside from using Splenda to sweeten I made this as directed. I made it last night and to let everything get all happy together and it was a lovely addition to my early coffee this morning. Easily made from thing's that I always have on hand. Great taste.

If I could give 15 stars I would! This is a life saver for me as I love my coffee flavored but the gunk in the store is too sugary and lots of "gunk". I buy it because I like the flavors with fresh roasted coffee or cappucino. Well, I made this today and instead of vanilla I used PUMPKIN spice. Oh yessiree it is great! And it smells delich as well. My kitchen right now smells like fresh bread (baking) and punpkin spice. mmmmm Thank you

My Dh and I have enjoyed this recipe-so much so that I am making another batch as I type. The flavor for those haven't tried this..The taste of the coffee creamer IS pronounced though my Dh and I enjoyed the overall flavor.

I scaled this down using 1/2 C each boiling water and powdered milk, 1/4 C Splenda and 11/3 tsp vanilla. It was too sweet for my taste and not really full of flavor. I tried adding 1/4 tsp imitation brandy extract which gave it a little flavor boost. It is definately not as creamy as the the liquid store-bought varieties but a good replacement in an "emergency" (no creamer is an emergency in this house!) and maybe with a little tweaking with different extracts we can make it more to our tastes. I did a little looking on the internet and found some places that carry quite an assortment of flavors (more concentrated than extracts) that may be worth trying. The basic idea is great though, so I'll keep playing around with it, probably using about one-half of the recommended sugar or Splenda.

My dh drinks about 1/2 coffee and 1/2 of the flavored stuff. I went looking for a recipe when I ran out of it and decided to make this one. It turned out great! Saves alot of money and living in a rural area it's good to be able to whip this up when I run out. Thanks, fixing to go and whip some up...

My goodness, this is quite good!! I really enjoyed this liquid homemade coffee creamer. It's not so sugary sweet like those store brands, and this is a great substitute for those as well. This recipe tastes a lot like canned sweetened condensed milk. When I made this, I halved the recipe, which made exactly 13-ounces, (all most 1-2/3 cups) and if making as written, this should make a bit more than 3 cups. Thank you excellentlee for posting this delicious tasting coffee creamer recipe. It definitely is a keeper!!
