I love Linguini with Clam sauce but with tight budgets these days paying $14 for one person makes it just an occasional treat..... Until now! This is definitely a restaurant quality recipe and the only change I made was to double the olive oil and spices (but not the clams) as we like ours pretty saucy. With this recipe and Chef #369715 's Recipe #251583 we had a great meal for under $10 and in less than 30 minutes.

i made this for dinner tonight, and it was great! the only changes i made, were i used half the pasta, and added 1 ts of cornstarch mixed with a ladle of pasta water to thicken it up a bit, next time i will add a little more cornstarch. thanks so much for posting!

I hate giving bad reviews, but since I trust other people to do it for me... I made this exactly as written, and even though it sounded delicious, I ended up tossing most of it out after making myself eat 9 or 10 bites (it was what I had available for dinner whether I liked it or not). Even though it's full of onions and garlic and herbs and spices and clams, it's was pretty flavorless. I'm sorry, but it just didn't taste good to me. :-(

This recipe is so simple and so great. Been making it for friends and family for 22 years and it never disappoints. I use fresh parsley or a bit of oregano.

Wonderful! I increased the garlic and added a 3rd can of clams with juice and LOVED this! Added fresh parmesan and it was loved by all!

I used a large can of chopped clams with the liquid so that may be why it is a 4 for me- I thought the extra spices and flavor would add to the taste but i think I will do it as listed with just plain clams next time. I will add an extra pinch of the red pepper flakes next time too :) I just sprinkled Parmesan cheese on top and served it. Thanks!

I have a similar recipe that I make. The only difference is I add 1/2 cup of chicken broth along with the juice from the can clams and simmer about 4 minutes. Delicious!

YUMMY! Fast! CHEAP? Does not TASTE cheap :) So I will say BUDGET FRIENDLY! Made this as written but used the 10 oz can of whole baby clams rather than the 6.5 oz one. Good amount of clams here and right amount of sauce. Went great with a Pinot Grigio/Chard blend wine. This would be even more lovely with fresh basil and oregano - winter does not let us grow that tho. We did top with additional red pepper flakes and a bit of fresh grated parm-regianno. This dish with a simple green salad and some fresh bread made a fast and yummy meal! Worthy of any fine restaurant! Thanks Toasted!

This recipe is definately a winner - even my sea-food-finnicky husband liked it. We love a bit a spice, so the red pepper flakes made the dish fantastic!

SO TASTY! The flavor combinations are great and it's a meal that I can put together in the time it takes to cook the noodles. Love that it's lowfat and inexpensive too. I will make this often.

I wanted to update my review. I have been making it (up until 2night) with the addition of toasted Italian bread crumbs and love the flavor. I do find I need a little extra sauce however because the bread crumb soaks some of it up. 2night I needed to make this weight watchers friendly so I used whole wheat spaghetti, left out my bread crumbs (I always leave out the pepper flakes) and added baby spinach. I just put a bunch of spinach in my colander and poured the pasta in to drain. The hot pasta cooked the spinach perfectly they I poured it all back in the pot and tossed with the sauce. The only other thing I did different was to add a squeeze of lemon juice to my serving. I think the lemon is lovely and adds a nice touch. My kids love this recipe both ways. I upped my star rating to 5 from 4 because its easy to make, taste good, my kids request it often and its open to so many variations (next time I'm going to try arugula and when the tomatoes come in I will try adding them too). Thanks for posting this wonderful stand by.

Quick, easy, cheap and low fat! With all that, I didn't expect much in the flavor department, but it was great! Everyone in the family enjoyed it.

For some reason my taste buds didn't agree too much with this recipe. It was good, but to me it wasn't super great. Didn't seem to make a lot of sauce either.

This was actually a really fast easy meal. I was a little scared of the clam mixture when it was cooking because it looked kinda gross. My husband came and looked at it and looked at me like I was crazy. However, after I tossed it with the noodles it looked just fine. I was surprised how good it was. I took the leftovers to work and everyone was jealous and impessed that I had made "linguine with clam sauce"! Thanks!

So good and so easy! With canned clams in the cupboard, this is a wonderful pantry meal that can be prepared quickly. I used only 8 oz. of linguine but the full amount of everything else, because we like lots of "stuff" on our pasta.

This was really good! I added an extra can of clams, a little lemon juice and lemon zest. It is so quick to make and everyone loved it. So, I will definitely make this again!
