I love these. When I get back East to visit, I usually get one of these at a local Portuguese bakery in Fall River, MA. A great snack!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb bread dough
  • 12-34 lb linguica sausage

Directions

  1. Cut raw bread into 8 parts.
  2. Remove skin from linguica and fry meat till half cooked.
  3. Refrigerate dough and meat one hour.
  4. Flatten dough like a pancake and fill with meat.
  5. Seal like a roll.
  6. Let rise 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Bake at 375° until dough is brown and crispy, about 15 minutes.
