We love our vegetables so this one was great for us! I used 3 dashes of Franks Hot Sauce and added in about 2 T. butter. It was a spectacular side to our baked fish!
I served this with grilled chicken breast and creamy mashed spuds...Mmm! I decided to sautee the onions and green peppers in a little olive oil before adding the other ing. I made mine extra spicy and seasoned with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Reviewed for PAC Fall 12007
This is the very first recipe I used on this site! I must say it was delicious! I never really cared for stewed tomatoes but my husband LOVES them! Adding the vegetables did the trick for me, and my husband was also happy with the new version!!!! I did sauté the onions and peppers first, as well as 1 stalk of celery (chopped). Added a Tbl. of sugar to the tomatoes as well as the tabasco. We thought it was a nice variation. I made this with a baked mac&cheese recipe (compliments of Fannie Farmer on this website!) and boneless chicken breasts. Delightful meal!
With all these goodies fresh out of the garden, I couldn't wait to make this. It was delicious and will be made as a side to many of my favorite dinners!
This veggie dish is so yummy, we have been having it every week for the last couple of months! I love using my fresh veggies out of the garden. So delicious!
MMMMMMMMmmmmm So so good! We couldn't wait to dig in! Thanks for sharing!
We had in a bowl along with some Mac N Cheese and they went so well together. I love tomato anything with my macaroni. I usually have canned stewed tomatoes, but this looked so good I had to try it. The flavor of the spices kicked this up a little and it had such great taste. I made as written in the recipe and didn't change a thing. I used 3 dashes of red hot peppers. This has become another veggie recipe that we really love, and its so easy to make and will go with a lot of things, not to mention that it's low in calories and high in flavor.
