I have been making this recipe for years... Originally I got it from a girl at work, but I have tweaked it to my liking, and it's really packed with lots of different flavors! It is great with any meat dish, and really good with meat off the grill... I have seen it at weddings, pot lucks and showers, and it goes well with just about anything!

Directions

  1. If using bacon, cook bacon until crispy, then drain, and crumble.
  2. Cut broccoli heads with scissors into small flowerettes.
  3. Chop onions.
  4. Mix first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
  5. Mix the sauce (which ever one you choose to use)ingredients in a separate bowl.
  6. Add to broccoli mix, and mix well.
  7. Chill, and serve.
  8. Note: Sometimes I add sunflower seeds to this recipe, and other times I add a small can of black olives. You can also add raisins or craisins.

I have made this a few times now and I use the no sugar version of this using Splenda and it is simply divine! I used half broccoli and half cauliflower for something different. It was so good with our burgers! Thank You Linda!
