TOP winner here! I only use butter, so this replaced the margarine as listed in the recipe. I used 2 Mcintosh apples, peeled and chopped plus the walnuts. The guys hung around in the kitchen smelling the wonderful aroma until the timer went off. We mmmmm-ed through each warm bite alongside vanilla ice cream. Now I wonder what your "other" 4 favorite dessert recipes are!
Yum, we liked these. I put them in too small a pan and had to bake them longer. Thanks for a different tasty recipe!
Really wonderful dessert. These were fantastically warm and rich from the cinnamon and apple combination. They are fluffier and less dense than I was expecting from the name brownies (more cake-like than blondie/brownie-like) but completely and totally delightful, nonetheless. A perfect fall dessert.
Soooo yummy!!! This was a huge hit with all my picky eaters, and extremely easy for me! I used the apples I had on my hand, red delicious & golden. I will be making this often. Thanx!
AWESOME recipe! The brownies are so good!I used 1 medium Red Delicious apple & pecans instead of walnuts & cooked in my perfect brownie pan for about 30 mins & they turned out great! The husband has made me make them twice already in the last week & now his friends @ work want me to send some their way! Thanks for sharing!~
I used Macintosh apples. I added extra nuts (1 c.) All I can say is addicting! We ate them so fast my DS didn't even get one!
Delicious! I used butter and did not peel the apples (I used a Red Delicious). Thank you for posting!
These are to die for!! My husband declared these are his new favorite dessert. Delicious!
I have never heard of apple brownies before, so naturally I was intrigued. I tried them, they are super simple to make - the family loved them, i loved them, this is my new favorite. Thank you for sharing!
These went over very well. Everyone seemed to enjoy them. I baked in a 9x9 pan and they turned out fine.
