Lime-Steamed Fish Fillets

  • Arrange fillets on a steamer rack over boiling water.
  • Squeeze the lime juice over them, and top with shallots and black pepper.
  • Cover and steam for about 5 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Per serving: 124 calories, 66 mg. cholesterol, 0.5 g dietary fiber, 2 g. fat, 155 mg. sodium.

  1. I love steamed fish but found that the lime juice was not strong enough to flavour the fish. I used Basa fillets which are not strong in their own flavour. Thanks for the recipe and I hope it works for others.

I am a teacher who is near the end of my career. I have many craft interests and have just added cooking to my list.
