Lime Jello, Grandma Stoddard's

Family tradition at Thanksgiving dinner. Grandma Stoddard was always responsible for bringing this yummy salad.

Ingredients:

Servings: 15

• 1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 2 (3 ounce) packages lime Jell-O gelatin
• 2 cups boiling water
• 2 (1 lb) cans pears (cut & drained)
• 1 ½ cups pear juice
• ½ teaspoon ginger
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions:

1. Disolve jello in hot water.
2. Add pear juice, salt & lemon juice.
3. Refrigerate until partially set.
4. Beat in softened cream cheese slowly with wire whip.
5. Add ginger & mix.
6. Fold in pear pieces last.
7. Pour into 9 x 12 pan and refrigerate.
