    Chef Jean's Note:

A very refreshing summer drink. This recipe is from Iced Tea by Fred Thompson. It is suggested in the book that some crushed mint leaves and sour mash whisky can be added for a nice cocktail. I made it using splenda which worked out very well. Prep time includes time to bring water to a boil.

Made your recipe as given, minus the lime slices & the ice! My other half adds ice just before filling up his glass, while I prefer more tea in my glass & no ice, so I guess he drinks the Lime Iced Tea while I just work on the Lime Tea! However we do it, it's great tasting stuff & the recipe, a keeper! Thanks for sharing it! [Made & reviewed in the Best of 2011 recipe tag]

This was a very refreshing iced tea drink. I used my favorite black tea, and I thought that was a good choice for this recipe. We really enjoyed it, because it's refreshing and quite tasty. Thanks for sharing your recipe, Chef Jean. Made for Fall 2011 Pick-A-Chef.
