  1. I love Lima beans! Fresh is best but when the season is gone either frozen or canned- I used canned for your recipe.. Got everything ready ahead of time placed it in an oven proof dish covered with foil heated in 350 oven for 25 minutes just before dinner. Enjoyed my dinner Thanks Stephanie for posting a recioe for an under appreciated veggie!

  2. We have a similar recipe we've made for decades, only we take a couple of bacon strips, cook and crumble, sauté with onions, add a can of lima beans, a can of drained mushrooms and a pinch of salt and cook until hot. I think I may merge that 1 with this 1.

  3. I had an opened bag of Lima beans in the freezer. I used that and a container of fresh sliced mushrooms. Like with every recipe, extra garlic is a must. We're not huge fans of Lima beans. But, we really enjoyed them like this!

  4. Limas and mushrooms are a great combo. Who knew. Simple prep. Love

  5. Loved this. I get cravings for lima beans every so often. My guy usually doesn't like them too much, especially as a main course. I think he feels that they're too plain, but with this recipe he asked for thirds! I use frozen mixed mushrooms and frozen lima beans. Definitely lots of garlic too.
