- In a stainless steel saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat to low and keep waarm until needed, taking care not to boil the syrup down.
This was perfect. We used it to can whole bing cherries.
