DH says it is a "Homerun!" I'm not much of a fish eater, but even I enjoyed this one... Seasoned the fish and the flour with the salt, pepper and paprika (added a bit of garlic powder to the flower as well!) and, once the fish was cooked and removed, added about 2 tsp of the seasoned flour mix to the broth/lemon juice and then reduced... made a fabulous dipping sauce... Thanks so very much! I will be using this often!!
Fabulous- even without the sauce. (Which is shocking for me to say.. I am a huge lemon lover!) Delicious!
This was light and tasty! I am always looking for new ways to cook fish and this is a winner! I followed the recipe exactly except I seasoned the fish with seasoned salt (in place of regular), ground pepper, garlic powder and the paprika before searing. I served this with rice and grilled asparagus. Thank you for a great recipe!
Mmmmm so good! I just finished eating this and had to rush in to review it. This was so good, it was ridiculous! :) I am adding this to my favorites. The only thing different I did was I went and ahead and just poured the broth/juice/butter over the fillets and continued cooking them for about 6 or 7 minutes. I can't wait for the leftovers tomorrow!
This was SUPER good!!! Nice, light and perfectly cooked. I like my fish well done so I cooked it about twice as long. LOVED the butter/lemon/broth mix over the fish. Wonderful flavors here!
I made this a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to rate it. It was easy, and it tasted wonderful. I am giving this to my brother in law who is looking for easy Tilapia recipes.
I cannot tell you how many times I have made this, it is one of my favorite dishes. However, the other night I made it and I left the fish in the pan while the broth, lemon juice, and butter boiled which really thicken up the sauce and added more flavor to the tilapia.
Pantry Chef Starkey this is one of the nicest ways I've found to cook tilapia. My bf and I both enjoyed this a lot. I had thowed only two fillets. Our local Fry's has bulk frozen tilapia fillets at a decent price so we'll eat tilapia 1-2 times a week so I am always trying as many recipes as I can and am starting to stock up on some faves/repeats. This one is going in my saved recipes to make again. It does make a lot of broth, and the broth goes good with crinkle-cut cooked carrots and white rice. Seasonings are perfect, and loved how the thinner parts of the fish got a bit crispy, and the taste is fresh and light. I used a chicken bouillon cube in 1 cup of water for the chicken broth and Smart Balance with Flaxseed Oil for the margarine, followed the rest of the recipe as stated. (Well ok I admit I didn't measure the spices but sprinkled on to taste, using about the sme amt of salt and paprika called for, but more black pepper, and estimated how much flour I needed). Thanks again, this fit my craving pefectly tonight.
This is so incredibly quick and easy to prepare and the results are absolutely delicious. The only change I'll make is to prepare half of the sauce as we had quite a bit left over. We have fish twice a week and this will definitely be made, probably, about once a week at my house. Thanks for posting this recipe PCS.
Excellent!! Will make again and again.
