This is my new found way to cook fresh green beans! Wonderful flavor with just the right amount of texture. Thanks! Made for the "Down on the Farm" Photo Tag 2012.
Super simple, but oh so good. I did add some Greek seasoning and I am glad I did as it completed the dish. I will definitely make this again.
This a good recipe technique for green beans. I will make this again, but with less olive oil. I used frozen green beans because that was what I had on hand. My husband, who is not particularly fond of green beans, cleared his plate. I would give this four stars, but because they were frozen, and my husband cleared his plate . . . I have to give it a five.
We enjoyed this wonderfully delicious side dish with our meal tonight. I used Greek Seasoning (Spice) to make the Greek Seasoning mix and used about a tsp of liquid smoke (next time will reduce that to 1/4 tsp) Still in all I received raves on this and will most certainly make the again and again. Thank You Sharon for another wonderful recipe. Made for KK's Chefs Picks event.
Loved this recipe. I didn't have greek seasoning so I added a pinch each of oregano, basil, marjoram, thyme and garlic powder. Used frozen green beans and reduced the water to 1/2 cup. Cooked approximately 15 minutes. I did use the liquid smoke. Both hubby and I loved it.
Another one of the simple yet great recipes! And I did lick my dish at the end. Liquid smoke is something I cannot get here but I'll add some bacon next time. Thanks.
These were great! I made them with haricots coco beans which are wider and flatter that regular green beans. I didn't have any Greek seasoning so I used some cajun seasoning and a little bit of oregano. I will try it with the Greek seasoning in the future. Since I normally steam my vegetables this was a nice change of pace. Thanks for the recipe. It's a keeper!
Tasty! Who'd a thunk to add greek seasoning?! Yummy!!
I put Greek seasoning in the green beans (cause I really like Greek seasoning). And it was delicious. My baby of 21 months old ate all his green beans. My BF also loved this recipe. For me, I added liquid smoke to taste. And I like it with liquid smoke. But my BF doesn't. Anyway, the one who wants liquid smoke just have to add it to his serving. I didn't add salt and pepper cause the 1 teaspoon of salt was enough. Thanks Sharon :)
These were really good! I doubled the oil & water, but used three 14+ ounce cans of green beans. My husband is hard to please when it comes to green beans, and this passed the test.
