This was in libbies cook book since there are a lot of mulberry trees around here. She has a few recipes. The directions are sparse and I think cooking times are a guess--so are amounts.she got this recipe from Mrs ray lambreach
- Cook the mulberries and sugar together.
- When cooked, take off the stove and add Jell-O.
- Can in sterile jars or . put in the freezer.
Oh Dienia B. I would gladly trade some chokecherry, or elderberry or red currant or black currant or grape jelly for a jar of Mulberry Jam! I used to live near a Mulberry Tree years ago and we would eat them as fast as we could pick them or pick them off the ground! We were reddish purple all over our knees and hands and lips! Sooooooo very very very good! Do you ever use pectin instead of jello? So much better! In all sincerity Jelly!
This was a super easy & yummy recipe. We have a bunch of mulberry trees so I'm eagerly making all things mulberry :0) - thanks for posting it!
This is the first time I made this and it is so good.I though the seeds would be hard but they are not.Soo good.
