  1. Cut onions 1/4 thick; separate into rings.
  2. Combine flour, salt, egg, milk, and oil.
  3. Beat together just until dry ingredients are well moistened.
  4. Coat onions rings with batter.
  5. Fry a few onion rings at time in 375 degree Fahrenheit deep fat, stirring once to separate rings.
  6. When onions are golden brown, drain on paper, and salt to taste.

Easy to put together and quite nice to eat too. I cut the recipe in half but still used 1 egg. I used soy milk instead of dairy. Enjoyed with spicy ketchup. Thanks!
