Every Friday I take a couple of dips to share at work. This tasty dish had everyone stumped as to the ingredients. I did have to make one change -- I was out of red lentils! I don't think that's ever happened in my house, so I had to replace with moong dal (yellow lentils) which cooked at about the same speed. Perfect results and fabulous flavour. Thanks for posting.
Nice flavor and easy to make. I simmered for 10 minutes but should have added the extra 5 to cook off more of the liquid. It might not of been as thick as others but it stayed on my chip when I scooped it up, so that is all that mattered. Made for *ZWT 6* I'm on Team *Ya Ya Cookerhood*

I served this with little hot rolls and it was great! I added a splash of sweet chilli sauce and used lime juice instead of lemon . This is a great new way for me to eat lentils so thanks .
This is really good! We have been eating it as a veggie dip. It was a little thick for our preference, so I added a splash more of chicken stock.
Fabulously flavoursome! I made a double quantity early in the week before our record-breaking 3 day heatwave struck; 3 days of temperatures over 110 degrees fahrenheit! So we greatly enjoyed this with crispy bread, other dips, kalamata olives and salad greens. I used my Vegetable Stock. Loved the blend of flavours. Thank you for sharing this recipe, Boomette. Please thank Ricardo for this delicious dip. Needed a protein rich snack that would easily travel to work in my little bag and this was just perfect. I cooked my veggies with olive oil cooking spray and skipped the oil. The results are rich and creamy despite being guilt free. It was especially good with the carrot sticks and tomorrow I will have it with whole wheat pita. Done my way this is just 1 point for 6 servings. Made for Potluck Tag.
Really enjoyed this. Simple and tasty. I made a half batch and found it needed slightly more than the stock indicated. (could be down to me not making the full amount). You can get away without using the oil too - I just steamed my peppers and garlic in a little of the stock. Seriously good!! Thanks, will definitely make again x
Yummy healthy dip, very reminiscent of red pepper hummus. This made a perfect weekend snack for us. I served it with some pita chips, and it was devoured! Thanks Boomie!
