      GREAT!! I wasn't too sure about vingar+sugar in beans- but they MAKE THE DISH!! I have never had lentils before and this was a great way to try them out for the 1st time. Now I'm not sure I will cook them any other way!!(; Thank you so much- made for The Xtra Hot Dishes of ZWT6.

      This was so delicious. Even my 2 yr old daughter liked it. I only used 1/4 cup of vinegar...I'm not much on it. And we decided against the onions and parsley. But even without it was still a very good dish. Will use again. Thanks

      A totally satisfying German recipe. My BF and I are both vegetarians, so we used veggie bacon. Also used a mixture of yellow and red onions as it was what I had. My BF is German/Hungarian so he usually decides he needs more vinegar. He really enjoyed this, and so did I. I made the whole recipe and saved a lot for lunch leftovers. Boy will I enjoy them! BTW, also used less butter and a mixture of real sugar and sugar substitute. Thanks BBB!
