Delicious and insanely simple side dish. I usually put it on a side for chicken or pork.
- 1⁄3 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 (7 ounce) package vermicelli
- 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 1⁄3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Combine milk and butter in saucepan, cook over low heat until butter melts. Set aside, and keep warm.
- Cook vermicelli according to package directions, drain. Place in a bowl, and toss with lemon juice, let stand 1 minute. Add cheese and warm milk mixture, toss well.
I thought this was a very good, simple recipe! I added cooked shrimp to it and used a romano/parm blend instead of plain parmesan....it dissappeared very quickly!
