Want to fire up the grill? Tired of chunks of beef? (Actually, I live in Nebraska - I could be killed for saying that.) Try these lighter burgers as a change - nice for a more elegant grilling, and very easy to make. Prep time include chilling time.
- 1 lb salmon
- 4 ounces breadcrumbs
- 1 green onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 lemon, juice and zest of
- salt and pepper
- Combine all ingredients and form into 4 patties.
- Chill for 1 hour before grilling.
- Grill or broil until hot through.
Thanx for a really nice little recipe. It was a big success & a keeper. Very healthy and light, served with a boiled potato and steamed veggies. Used canned salmon this time & two cloves of garlic, this recipe will be at it's greatest with fresh salmon in my view !!!! Great for lunch leftovers if you make extra ! Could make a weekend salmon burger dinner with potato wedge fries, maybe even tartar sauce, salad, yummy !!
The lemon goes really well with this recipe. I found it to be a bit "crumbly" but the flavour was there.
