      The waffles were not crispy enough for us. DH didn't like the taste of the waffles so much even though he likes lemon taste and poppy seeds. But he said the sauce was very yummy. Me and my son enjoyed them. Thanks Yooper :) Made for Alphabet tag game

      Impressive! All the kids loved it. I will make it again next time we have company for breakfast. We didn't have buttermilk, so made a mixture of lemon juice and regular milk. This caused the color of the waffles to be a little blotchy but the taste was terrific.

      I saw this recipe in Bon Appetit years ago, and when I want to wow family or guests, this is what I make them for breakfast. It basically tastes like a combination of a poppy seed muffin and a blueberry muffin, but hot and slightly crispy. These are even good left over with a little ice cream on top for a sweet treat after dinner!

      This is SO GOOD!!! For me I had to adjust the servings to 5 in order to get 4 full waffles. I will be making these over and over again! Mmmm sounds good for tomorrow!

      Made these for breakfast this morning. They were great! Did take some time but were awesome. I used 2 pt. of fresh berries and came out beautifully. We have lots left over for a quick and flavorful breakfast some other day.
