  1. Cream together butter or margarine and sugar yntill mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and shredded lemon peel.
  3. Beat thoroughly.
  4. Stir together flour,baking powder and salt.
  5. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk,beating well after each addition.
  6. Stir in walnuts.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 8 1/2x4 1/2x2/12 inch loaf pan.
  8. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes.
  9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove and cool on rack.
