I really enjoyed this refreshing citrus herbal lemonade Paula. It was simply delicious, raw, fresh, sparkling with flavor. I used sugar and fresh thai basil, what a treat. Thank you so much for sharing this treasure, I will be making this often, into my keeper box this goes. :)

I don't have a juicer, and I just wanted to try a quick little bit, so I put a couple of leaves of fresh basil and a slice of lemon into my blender and spun it for a minute, till I couldn't see any more of the basil bits. Then I put in through a strainer. I use honey for a sweetener instead of processed sugar or artificial sweeteners. It really hit the spot! I like the blend of lemon and lime.. and who woulda thunk that the basil would be sooo good in this? I have a new use for my basil! Thanks! [editted to add] I've just made this again using dried basil, & the dried basil did not work so well. It didn't blend well & stayed dried, floating at the top. So I would suggest using fresh. I also added a bit of ginger which tasted good in it.
