  • 4 lemons, juice of
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 8 cups milk

  • Stir everything together.
  • Pour into ice cream maker and prepare according to ice cream maker directions.
  • VARIATION: Substitute orange juice or lime juice for lemon.

  1. This turned out very nice. I also halved the recipe. It's a bit on the sweet side. Next time I'll cut back on the sugar. <br/>Update. My son and his friends love this! :)
     
  2. Yummy! However, I did have to half the recipe in order for it to fit in my ice cream maker (it would have been nice if that were mentioned). Also, it was a bit sweet and not quite lemony enough for me. Don't get me wrong... this recipe was really yummy, I am just going to have to make some adjustments next time... and there WILL BE a next time! Thank you.
     
  3. This is very nice and light sherbet. I halved the recipe so it would fit into my ice cream maker and my lemons were very small so I used three of them. The machine did all the work and we enjoyed a nice easy dessert. I would have liked it to be a little more lemon-y so next time I will use 4 lemons and half the rest of the ingredients. Thanks for posting a keeper!!!
