This came from an old neighbor of ours. It's not typically creamy ice cream, it's more of a popsicle texture , kind of icey , but good. The flavor is nice for summer! (cook time is freeze time) The note at the bottom of the recipe card says, and I quote "very delish , dats da truth! Beverly Hills recipe , wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!" *LOL*

  1. Mix the sugar, lemon juice and pineapple and juice well.

  6. **This has no instruction on the recipe as to WHAT to freeze it in-- Since you slice it, I used a large bread pan.

Yummy! A refreshingly cool sherbet-type frozen dessert with pieces of pineapple throughout. I was short half and half so used 3 cups plus one cup milk. Omitted food coloring. Used my Cuisinart ice cream freezer and it was very full but worked and avoided the "icy" consistency in the recipe description. Let ripen in the freezer to firm up. Would be nice frozen in popsicle molds for the kids, too. Enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
