I made a half more of this recipe and then used the ice cream maker (with a little extra lemon juice) to bring it to the soft serve stage. Then it went into the freezer for a couple of hrs. I got a wonderful, lemony, ice cream that I'll likely be making again before summer if over. *wink*

Directions

  1. Grate peel. Mix cream, milk and sugar.
  2. Add to peel.
  3. Place in bowl in freezer until firm.
  4. (about 6 hours).
  5. Mash and add juice of lemons.
  6. Mix.
  7. Cover.
  8. Return to freezer until firm.
