  1. This pie has a wonderful lemon flavour, but I wasnt so keen on the texture - only because it was very different to other lemon pies I have made. I would suggest overnight chilling, my pie wasnt quite set enough, but was fully set the following day. Thanks for sharing the recipe :)

  2. My Gran and mom used to make this pie. It has been a family favorite for many, many years. I haven't thought of it in a long time and made it the other night for my family. Has just the right amount of lemon tart. Sweet, creamy, and perfect for summer. Thanks.

  3. This one brings back memories of my grandmother too, she made this often when we went to her house!! She always beat the eggs together, I like this version with folding in the whites - it changes the texture of the filling, much lighter, not so dense, but still yummy!!!

  4. My Gram always makes this for me when I'm near home -- and has since I was very young. This is her exact recipe, except for the Cool Whip. It's one of my absolute favorites -- so summery & Southern!! -- I've never had it with the Cool Whip though, just the tartness of the lemon pie. Yum!!
