Fabuloso. I doubled the pears w/out doubling the poaching liquid & all was good. Everybody here loves poached pears & these are very tasty! I used 2 cinnamon sticks instead of the tsp. cinnamon. Thanks, Katie!

  1. Slice the pears in half. Coat with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. In a saucepot, add the sugar and water and bring to a boil to make a syrup. Reduce to a simmer and add the pear halves, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, and lemon grass. Continue to cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until pears are tender, but not falling apart.
