Lemon Cookies

"My MIL's recipe for her Italian lemon cookies. So good. This recipe can be easily doubled."

• Yields: 48 cookies

ingredients

• 4 cups flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 4 teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄4 cup Crisco
• 1 cup milk
• 1⁄2 lemon, juice and zest of
• 4 eggs
• glaze
• milk
• icing sugar

directions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Beat eggs and sugar.
3. Add Crisco to mixture.
4. Add lemon juice, milk, flour and baking powder.
5. Shape batter into mini braids.
6. Bake at 375°F for 10-15 minutes, depending on oven.
