      This was a great marinade. I used it just as it was above, except I had just two chicken breasts. The flavor wasn't overpowering at all. Once the chicken was cooked, I paired it up with the sauce from Lemon Chicken and it was a great combination. Had the chicken, sauce, steamed broccoli, and steamed rice. Yummy! :)

      My husband is a rookie firefighter and usually has to come up with lunches and dinners for the crew. He's pretty green in the kitchen, so I handed him this recipe...looked easy. He marinaded the chicken the night before, for lunch the next day, when he came home after work the first thing he said was, "Wow! that was good chicken, they all want me to make it again" HIP HIP HOORAY!

      These easy to prepare marinated chicken breasts were a hit at our family cookout this summer.I hesitated when it came time to adding the teaspoon of basil, but went with the recipe. I used finely chopped basil fresh from the garden and it so enhanced the flavor of the chicken. Terrific tasting grilled chicken Paula, thanks for posting this recipe.

      I have made this recipe twice. The first time I followed the recipe exactly. In my opinion, there wasn't a sufficient amount of marinade for the chicken and we felt the basil taste was a little too strong. But, we liked it enough to try it again! This time I doubled all the marinade ingredients except I left the basil at 1 tsp. There was plenty of marinade and we even used some to baste the chicken while it was grilling. Delicious!!! This is a good recipe, I just needed to tweak it for our taste.
