  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar.
  2. Combine flour, salt and nutmeg; add to creamed mixture.
  3. Press into an ungreased 8" square baking dish.
  4. Bake @ 350 for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. For filling, place cottage cheese, egg, egg white, and lemon juice in a blender or food provessor and process until smooth.
  6. Add the sugar, flour, lemon peel and baking powder and process until well blended.
  7. Pour over crust and bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack for 1 hour.
  8. Refrigerate until chilled.
